How much money did Woods lost in divorce settlement

As we konw, it has long time since Woods and Elin's divorce settlement.Maybe many people have forgotten their saidness, cheap golf clubs, but the fact is still there-they divorced.

Elin Nordegren, golf equipment  formerly Elin Woods, is going to get a pretty nice lump of cash out of this whole "Escalade-waitresses-porn star" debacle that happened to the top golfer in the land nearly a year ago. Radar is saying that Elin will get $110 million from Tiger when the papers are signed, a sum that has been tossed around ever since news hit that the two would be splitting.

While nobody knows exactly how much Tiger is worth (Remember that story that floated around a year or so ago about Woods becoming the first athlete to hit the billion-dollar mark?), golf sale some felt $110 million is a little low for Elin, stating she could have gotten more if she wanted.

No worries though for the 30-year-old former model. She is now a very rich, single lady that can move on with her life away from golf, and Tiger and the constant speculation and media attention that must be driving her batty, and become herself again, free from all the ups and downs of the past year.

Along with that, Tiger can now totally be resolved from this issue, moving back to "Tiger the golfer," with daddy responsibilities whenever their two kids, Sam and Charlie, are around.

It has been the most dominant story in the golf world this season, overshadowing any of the first-time major winners, the 59s or a fantastic Ryder Cup.

The offseason is officially here, and hopefully this story will continue to creep deeper and deeper into our archives, while other golf-related posts pop up. That said, anytime Elin and Tiger are in the news, you know it is going to be reported. He's the most famous athlete in the world, still, and a fall from grace is always going to lead the evening news.

We have to admit that Woods and Elin's merrage is over, but we hope that they can find their own happiness.

The best way to choose an instructor

As technology has advanced, so has golf instruction. golf clubs,Just as there are many choices of drivers, putters, balls, and other golf equipment, there are just as many choices of golf instructors. The process of how you choose your golf instructor is as unique as your fingers' prints. However, just like there are certain things you want to know before choosing your doctor, there are certain items you should inquire of your instructor.

Compatibility - It is your responsibility to insure that there is a fit between you and your instructor on all levels, personality type, mutual goals, similar outlooks on the game, wholesale golf and your instructor's ability to relate to your individual needs. Before throwing a dart in the phone book under "golf instruction", research the professionals in your area. One way is to ask friends and playing partners for referrals of good instructors in your area. Ask them about pricing, reputation, location, and their improvement under the instructor's tutelage. If you get along with your playing partners and the instructor does too, odds are you have found a fit. Then, call the instructor and ask if they have time to talk to you about your game and improvement goals. A good instructor will be happy to talk to you about your game, and get to know you as an individual, prior to helping you with your golf game.

Accreditation and Experience - Does your golf instructor have the education and experience to take your game to any level you desire? Many individuals claim to be golf instructors. Many of these individuals are self-proclaimed "experts," or had enough money to take a one to two week course on how to teach golf and make more money.

In seeking a golf professional to help you with your game, insure that the individual has an active accreditation with the PGA or LPGA, or, has demonstrated an inarguable ability to help players of many levels improve through many years of practice. Other associations claim they produce golf instructors. However, these organizations have one focus, to make money, not to produce solid golf instructors. Inquire of your instructor their accreditation, as well as their education both on and off the golf course. Check with the LPGA or PGA websites to confirm your potential golf instructor's accreditation with that organization, and, how much experience the instructor possesses. Inquire of the instructor's philosophy and past success stories. If needed, ask for references of students from all skill levels that you can contact.

hughes_instruction2.jpg

Swing Aids - Does your golf instructor use swing aids? Moreover, does he or she have a solid reason for using an aid that applies to your needs? Many instructors have bags full of swing aids, ranging from old broken shafts to expensive space-age contraptions. However, is the instructor actually using the aids in a constructive and meaningful manner, or are they just for show?

Look for an instructor who invests their time, money, and professional reasoning in the use of swing aids. Insure that an instructor is using swing aids that help you "feel" differences between what you are taught to achieve and how you are currently swinging the golf club. Beware the instructor who has a "cure-all" swing aid they have all their students use.

The way to choose an instructor is very important for all golfers, especially for beginners. So beginners should take good consideration of it.

Montgomerie hails Europe’s acceleration after Ryder win

Lee Westwood’s coming acceleration to the world No. 1 ranking will cap a year in which golf’s balance of power has turned from America back to Europe, Colin Montgomerie said on Tuesday.

Highlights included regaining the Ryder Cup, Graeme McDowell winning the U.S. Open and Martin Kaymer taking the PGA Championship. And though British Open winner Louis Oosthuizen was South African, he was also a European Tour member, Montgomerie noted at a charity golf event.

With Kaymer poised to rise two spots to No. 4 after his third straight win on the European Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last weekend, Montgomerie joked that Westwood should look over his shoulder.

“If (Kaymer) continues his way, he’ll probably beat Lee Westwood to (No. 1) if he keeps winning,” he said. However, Montgomerie predicted that losing the top ranking would fuel Woods’ competitive drive. The 14-time major winner has held the top spot since 2005.“Knowing Tiger as I do, Tiger will probably go out and win the HSBC world event,” he said. “He won’t like being No. 2 at anything.”

Montgomerie added the Ryder Cup win was also key to maintaining international sponsor interest in the European Tour.“Economically, we needed the win,” he said. “Sponsorship is more difficult now than it’s ever been before in these economic times, especially in Europe. It’s important for us as the European Tour to show to the world … that we are a tour that is strong, very strong.”

Having fulfilled his mission as Ryder Cup captain, the 31-time winner on the European circuit said he wants to get his own game back into shape, noting that he has not enjoyed a top-10 finish in the past two years because his captaincy was so consuming. His world ranking has dropped to 417th.

Woods doesn’t need to go to fill field

Tiger Woods will take part in two major champions and at least a dozen players from both Ryder Cup teams in his Chevron World Challenge in December at Sherwood Country Club.

Still to be decided is whether the All-Star field will be without the No. 1 player for the third straight year.

Woods’ foundation announced the 16 players Monday who qualified from the world ranking, a team that starts with Woods and goes down to Sean O’Hair at No. 28. The field includes U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell and PGA champion Martin Kaymer. The tournament is to be held Dec.2-5.

Lee Westwood, who could take place of Woods at No. 1 in the world next month, will be competing in Sun City, South Africa. Woods has not played his tournament since winning in 2007—he was recovering from knee surgery in 2008, and ran over a fire hydrant a week before last year’s tournament, setting off revelations of infidelity.

Others scheduled to play are defending champion Jim Furyk, Steve Stricker, Paul Casey, Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Ian Poulter, Hunter Mahan, Zach Johnson, Anthony Kim and Bubba Watson.

The foundation will announce two exemptions next week. Because the 18-man field offers world ranking points, the two exemptions must be from within the top 50.

And it’s not just three straight tournament wins, I was also on the winning side at the Ryder Cup so that’s four in a row.”

Parry was tied with Kaymer when he sank a birdie putt on the 12th green. But a three-putt bogey at the next hole and a penalty shot at the 14th when he drove into a gorse bush proved costly. Parry eventually shot an even-par 72 to finish in third place.
